Over 1700 people came to these workshops, including many NYC firefighters, veterans, as well as people affected by Hurricane Sandy in NYC and the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. The BBM Foundation continues this work by funding scholarships to BBM courses.

Introductory workshops, training and practice sessions were offered to professionals from across service sectors. Ongoing practice sessions are made available free to the public through the support of WLS and member libraries. Looking ahead, they hope to work with school districts to engage staff and students with these calming, strengthening practices.
