Breath Body Mind in New York State
New York State Office of Mental Health Funding for Breath-Body-Mind
In 2016, the New York State Office of Mental Health and Coordinated Care Services, Inc. (CCSI) convened trauma-informed care champions statewide to connect and collaborate. The Trauma-Informed network officially launched in 2018. In 2022, NYS OMH increased funding and resources to support expansion of the network to create the NYS Trauma-informed Network & Resource Center (NYS TINRC).
The NYS TINRC aims to uplift the principles of trauma-informed care and create a place for learning, knowledge sharing, and resource and event promotion around trauma-informed work and wellness practices.
Through this grant, the NYS TINRC is working with the Breath-Body-Mind Foundation to provide free Breath-Body-Mind (BBM) sessions to learn gentle, science-based exercises that help reduce stress and build resilience. Practice sessions are free and available to all New Yorkers.
